I am glad that your book ended with a small note of hope. Your writing does reflect your pain as does your 'handle'.
I hope to see some of your writings when you express the joy which is subliminally evident in your pick of covers....I've kept and voted...Paula
Thanks for your comment and voting, means alot. 'You' seems to be the one that most people like and its ironic that when I wrtote it i was refhlecting back on a time in my life when things were hard and the person who is 'you' was killing me inside. I cannot seem to write when I am happy but when I am angry or upset All my ideas come.
Thanks :)
thanks for your comment :) yea the one about the road is one of my favourites also. I wrote it when I was going through a hard time and the road as a metaphor for life seemed just right and reflected life. I have realised that some of my best work and my fabourites, the road one and you are written when I am annoyed or upset I can't seem to write when I am happy if that makes sense. Thanks for voting and giving your views, means alot.
Meaningful poems reflecting the dichotomy of life. The joy of love an sadness of loss.
Pain, hope and their duality are very touching themes, and all three pervade each of your poems. "You" was my favorite--it delves into all the complexities of indifference and a broken heart.
Overall, you did a very good job. Your first poem draws the connection between winter and cycles of hardship, and, by that extension, you could say that all every poem deals with a "winter" in one's life.
Thank you for participating in our
poetry writing contest "Winter & Poems".
