Good stuff Elizabeth. I note a rhyming pattern, though not rigid. The poem was sort of whimsical to me--a little anecdote, almost. I thought the flow could have been improved, but I agree with the others, you've captured IT.
Looking forward to reading more of your work, as always.

Well said and true! I'm off to find my marbles....Paula

...is such a powerful line Elizabeth.
Just beyond that, your final 'stanza'(if I may...for this is truly a song) captures the essense of a 'Fountain of Youth', for surely we all share a cosmic knowledge that 'youth', is merely an 'attitude'.
You are one of my favorite 'forever young' people.
Much appreciation for sharing this wonderul piece Elizabeth!
Good luck, and much love,

This is another beautiful piece of work from you. Age is just a number of years we've lived in time, but anybody will always stay young in spirit if he/ she has a good heart for others. I can sense from your writings that you are a lovely person who has a good heart for others. Indeed, you will always stay young. You've got my vote!
Reminds me of my favorite song by Charles Aznavour "Yesterday, When I Was Young." Evokes all kinds of feelings....well done. Valerie (I voted)
Kat, I appreciate your time and support. I value other writers' comments very much. I am thrilled to be among all these wonderful, creative people here, and YOU are right there at the top! Always, Elizabeth
