...for the stars, people and to Marion for your very fair comment. I understand what you're saying. I can be vague in my writing, I certainly accept that. In preferring not to hand everything to the reader on a plate, I do tend to find what I want to convey is sometimes passed over due to excessive use of symbolism or (as is probably the case here) being too subtle. The end is meant to suggest there is no hope for Clara's... Show more

I really liked this story. It has great sensitivity and depth of feeling only I felt a little let down at the end because I was not sure just what that scene was all about. The dark haired boy in the photo was not clearly explained except in a vague way and the girl's hopes for her tutor was not a finished aspect of this tale. I guess this story begged to go on writing. What do you think?
