Another wonderful story, filled with nostalgia for the good all days when you are younger ,stronger and full of purpose. His aeroplane finally ran out of gas. He went down, in his mind at least, feeling undefeated, which he would have felt had he let them push him out. Great story telling.

Everyone else has said what I feel about your story. As usual you get to the heart of the matter and touch us with the truth in your tale. You paint a picture that we can see in our mind's eye and we come away feeling that we were there, with him until the final moment. Another wonderful story, Brian. Congratulations.

I loved that! But then you knew I would!
It was so tight and well written, an endearing tale with just one man, leaving his old life behind, moving on and then finding himself going back to his old life in death. Very poignant and poetic. lovely!
