A poem about a woman looking in the mirror and seeing the little girl she use to be. She is trying to get past a very painful and abusive past. She must learn to deal with her past and realize it wasn't her fault and love herself for who she is.

Thank you lazarus67 for reading my poetry and commenting. I have to say this is one of my favorite poems...it was hard to write...yet...it tells a story from beginning to end. It lets the reader know that even though life can be hard at times...you can still innocent and beautiful in the inside...nobody should have the power to take that away.
