Tunnels

an L train experience By:
Tunnels
Taking the subway is an adventure. The stops are predictable and mapped but the people who might come and go are not. The riders help form the pulse of what makes the city move. They are all cells riding through the veins of an elaborate system.

It's been so long since I've been on a bus, let alone on a subway. But i do love people watching. And at times I get bold enough to secretly take snapshots.
This poem brought back some memories.

Not only a poem but a story as well. Brought back a lot of memories of my transit ride in Chicago.

for an enjoyable read. In my opinion, Angely painted a vivid mental picture with her words.

This piece here is so simple and subtle that you almost miss just how meaningful it is. Sometimes I think we as people forget to look outside of ourselves and see that there are others around us. Some of the best free-verse I have read in a while... Reminds me of the tubes in London, each line is like the jolt of the train on the tracks :) Your descriptions capture the people in their movements and everyday activities which makes this poem all the more charming. If only I knew NY better maybe I could gain even more from this piece... Oh well :)
