hi, thanks for friend request, now it is 2016, thinking of new stories, and warmer climate than here.Also thinking of trying a Sicilian recipe today. My friends the geese are feeding in large flocks in the wet fields getting ready to migrate north. Lots of life out there despite the weather. This morning revisted a bit of writing , an Egyptian meditation;

Egyptian Meditation

Think of yourself as the source,
of the River Nile,
start as a lake, cool, virgin.

Then a mountain stream running, faster,

then broader, powerful, prolific, flooding, passion, invading, involved,

then slowing,
winding, into the Delta
braiding, reeds,
frogs, herons, ducks,

Then merge with the great mother ocean.

notes ; this is a meditation for women.
the poem mirrors the energy and shape of stages of woman’s life
small stream , rivulet, river growing , larger river , large mature meandering, slowing delta prolific, mature,
fast, quickening, powerful, flow, slowing , merging. recycle as rain.

also the sacred river (Hapi), life giving, meeting with the great mother.

giving birth or being born, youth, sex, (cloudburst) marriage, swimming, love, marriage, children, old age, dying or rather merging with the great mother, rebirth as rain.

Hapi was seen by the ancient Egyptians as a fortuitous spirit, life giving, renewing - is this where the word happy comes from - I like to think so.
