I am most passionate about writing because it is a way for me to express my thoughts. I am most passionate about writing because it is a way for me to express my thoughts. To me, writing is an escape from reality and it makes me feel like I have a say in issues and the right to express them. Writing makes me feel free, alive, and focused. It is my medicine to stress and anxiety. It gives me the opportunity to let all the feelings that I have kept inside. I think that writing is not just a subject; it is a type of art. Writing gives you the freedom to communicate freely without being judged. Writing has been my passion ever since the 2nd grade and I have been writing stories and poems ever since. Writing has always been a hobby to me and I hope to make it a profession after college. I mostly get my inspiration from the media, books, music, and my everyday experiences. A writing that I am most proud of is my auto- ethnography that I wrote in my Intro to College Prep Class. This was an assignment to gain a better understanding of what a college admission personal statement looks like. I was really devoted into doing this assignment because of my passion for writing. I also wrote a book depicting what teenagers face every day. I have been working on this book for a year and I someday hope it gets published. I feel that writing has opened a lot of doors for me and inspired and motivated me to become an author and a journalist. Writing plays a role in my life every day such as in school, home, and my job as a tutor. I write to show that not only do I have a voice in this world, but also in my own reality. I write to show, share, and learn.
