Oh my goodness,
I can not believe that I have not been on this site since what? February? Geez! Bad bad me! I have been knee deep in my studies at the University, and have not made time to log in here to say hello to anyone.

My classes have involved so much writing and reading literature pieces that I think my eyes have began to sink back in my head. Oh hallelujah!

The last few short stories that I had to critique today were Amy Tan- " Two Kinds" ,Zora Neale Hurston- " How It Feels to Be Colored", John Updike- "A & P", and Tillie Olsen- " I Stand Here Ironing". These were all short stories and really great stories for analogy.

I also have been writing my own stories based upon my own personal dreams. I woke up a few A.M.'s ago around 4:30 in the morn and remembered hearing my late father tell me to begin writing down every dream immediately after waking. He said that my novels would start there. So I did this time and ended up with 25 pages of serious adventure. Hell, it even inspired me as the reader and the writer after going over it a few times. Also after writing the story, I realized that I had so many forms of symbolism and imagery throughout the piece that was significant to my life;as well and indeed, to others.

The story was about a young girl who after blaming so many others who had experienced her life's journey alongside of herself; she begins to recognize that through many trials and tribulations, it was really "she" who needed to make changes to her life and that the blame was most definitely her own.

Of course with that, I have to sit on the journal for a spell in order that it marinate and further endure a bit more of my vivid imagination. The story lines are intense! Ha! Perhaps I'll add it here soon as well.

Well, I'm going to bed now. Just had to check in and read a bit, email a bit more, and organize a lot...
